Secondary Chemistry Education (9-12), B.S.

The Secondary Chemistry education program is designed to prepare teacher candidates to teach chemistry education, 9-12. The curriculum content includes chemistry lab courses aligned to science standards taught in the respective grade levels, along with secondary education pedagogy and field experience course work.  Secondary Chemistry Education teacher candidates also complete requirements to achieve recommendation for South Carolina initial teacher certification.

Graduation Requirements

2.75 GPA (In adherence with SC state requirements, courses approved for Read to Succeed endorsement require a grade of “C” or higher.  These courses include EDU 370, EDU 470; Completion of Benchmarks I,II,III
