Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a concentration in Medical Imaging is a Traditional program and is designed for students with an associate’s degree in a health-related field and/or those planning on applying to a clinical programs in medical imaging. The field of health science covers a wide range of topics in health sciences, public health, health care, and research.
This specific program is designed for students transferring in with an Associate’s Degree in Medical Imaging or those dually enrolled in the AnMed Health Medical Imaging program. The curriculum provides students to complete 2 1/2 years on campus and the balance of the program at AnMed Health Radiology or similar accredited hospital based program or an accredited technical school that provides a medical imaging program.

*AU will accept transfer credit hours from an Associate of Applied Sciences program in radiologic technology towards the university’s Bachelor of Science in Health Science: Medical Imaging, B.S. program under the following conditions.
- The transfer credit hours are from an academic program holding professional accreditation through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) or equivalent accrediting agency that is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- The student has earned the Associate of Applied Sciences in Radiologic Technology or equivalent degree.
- The student has passed the national registry exam offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or has been awarded the RDMS credential by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent credential, approved by the Program Chair and Dean of the College of Health Professions.
- The transfer credit hours may only be applied to the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Health Science: Medical Imaging.
**Traditional students in the BS Health Sciences: Medical Imaging program must maintain a B or better in the cognate courses.
