EDU 310 - Secondary Classroom Management3 Cr. Hrs. This course is a study of strategies and techniques for managing behavior in the 9-12 classroom. The course examines students’ individual characteristics and needs; the multiple interacting influences that affect students’ achievement and learning; the importance and complex characteristics of students’ families and communities; the importance of positive and supportive interactions between the home, school, and student; and the efficacy of conflict resolution strategies.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of Benchmark I within the Teacher Education Program. Grading Basis: Graded Repeatable: No Typical Periods Offered: Fall, Spring
