ENCE 360 - Operating Systems

3 Cr. Hrs.
This course investigates the key concepts, mechanisms, and structure that underlie operating systems. The fundamental components of operating systems including process management, memory management, scheduling, file and storage management, I/O device management, and protection/security are explored. Contemporary design issues and current directions in development of operating systems are discussed.
