ENEE 480 - Power and Energy Engineering

This course discusses power and energy concepts and its analysis, modern electricity grid and energy harvesting technologies. The fundamental topics in power and energy systems, phasors, three-phase circuits, self and mutual inductance, transformer, electromechanical systems, synchronous and induction machines, DC-DC converters, inverters and rectifiers, and DC and single-phase machines are introduced

 

Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or higher in ECEE 230 and ECEE 390.
Grading Basis: Graded Repeatable: No Typical Periods Offered: Fall
