ENEE 470 - Digital Communication Theory3 Cr. Hrs. This course covers the fundamentals of digital communication systems. Digital modulation techniques are covered along with optimal receivers, signal space representation of signals, PAM, QAM, PSK, FSK, block coding, convolutional coding, synchronization, error rate and intersymbol interference. Fundamentals in Fourier transforms, probability and random variables are covered. Students will have the opportunity to apply and implement theory through software and hardware designs.
Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or higher in ECEE 370 and MAT 415
Grading Basis: Graded Repeatable: No Typical Periods Offered: Spring
