DAN 471 - Ballet 52 Cr. Hrs. This Advanced dance course is designed as an elite, specialized offering preparing students for the expectations of professional work after college in the focus of dance. Students will develop tools to use when marketing and networking with professionals in the dance industry, work on extensive skills in the advanced level of dance technique, increasing performance ability and musical artistry while exploring media outlets across stage and film in preparation for a performing career in commercial, theatrical or concert dance. May be repeated six times (twice per genre if desired).
Prerequisite(s): Student must be a declared Dance Major. Students are at junior status or above. Students have completed at least two semesters of DAN470. Grading Basis: Letter Grade Repeatable: Yes Typical Periods Offered: Fall
