DAN 465 - Pointe1 Cr. Hrs. Common Learning Outcomes 17. [AE] Aesthetic engagement through creative production or reflective patronage of the arts
This class will explore the principles of dancing on pointe. The focus will be initially on the strengthening of the feet and legs for pointe work including band exercises, barre work and eventually work in the center. Combinations will be given that are appropriate for the level of technical ability of the students in the class. Previous ballet and pointe experience and enrollment in level three ballet class or higher during the same semester required. May be repeated eight times.
Prerequisite(s): Instructor approval.
