MGT 425 - Finance and Fundraising

3 Cr. Hrs.
The basic objective of this course is to provide students with an overview of the financial aspects of the sport industry.  With the sport industry generating billions of dollars per year in economic activity, sport organizations have a growing need to employ individuals that possess sound financial management skills.  This course will provide students with an introduction of financial analysis and budgeting techniques essential for tracking an organization’s revenue.  In addition, it will discuss public and private financing options in professional, intercollegiate, interscholastic, and recreational/commercial sport.    

Prerequisite(s): FIN 310 Financial Management
Grading Basis: Graded Repeatable: No Typical Periods Offered: Spring
