This course introduces modern industrial processes for production, the basic mechanics of metal machining, hot and cold forming, flow and solidification of molten alloys, heat treatment and welding. Machinability testing and production analysis of automatic and semi-automatic machine tools are described. Use of process modeling and simulation.
