NUR 454 - Leadership and Management for Practicing Nurses4 Cr. Hrs. NUR 454 is a study of healthcare organizational structures and the professional nurse’s role as a leader, manager, and change agent. Emphasis is on applying the theories and principles of leadership and management in the context of the healthcare delivery system, and a focused experience based upon a change theory is included. Ethical and spiritual dilemmas confronting nurses are explored from multiple perspectives. Students will complete 45 hours of in-person clinicals related to nursing leadership and management.
