ENGR 111 - Engineered Systems and Skills Lab I1 Cr. Hrs. This course introduces students to the design elements of complex engineered systems through hands-on reverse engineering of everyday items such as a toaster, washing machine, computer, mobile phone, hand-drill, vacuum cleaner, and coffee maker. Students explore form and function through the concepts of systems and sub-systems, systems requirements, inputs and outputs, needs assessment, and design constraints. Various forms of communication are emphasized.
