FRE 102 - Elementary French 2

Continuation of FRE 101; study of the basic sounds and structures of the French language. Students may not earn credit for both FRE 131 and FRE 101/102. Course materials include a language lab (aural/oral) component available through the campus intranet, which is to be completed outside class. Students with two or more high school language credits may take the Foreign Language Placement Test during orientation with the option of being placed at a higher level. Students with prior study in educational institutions in which French is the primary language are not allowed to receive credit for the elementary level of the native language. They should complete the 101-102 sequence of another language.
