BUS 734 - Applied Statistics3 Cr. Hrs. Enables researchers to select and utilize the statistical tools they will need to conduct academic research. Students will evaluate data with SPSS and learn to select appropriate statistical methodologies according to the research questions and hypotheses. Basic methods of data collection and analysis are covered for quantitative research studies. Topics include exploratory factor analysis, cluster analysis, multiple regression, MANOVA, multiple discriminant analysis and logistic regression.
Formerly LEAD 734. Students cannot receive credit for BUS 734 and LEAD 734.
Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: Students should have completed a masters level class involving statistical analysis (e.g. probability distributions, analysis of variance, confidence intervals, one and two-sample hypothesis testing, t-test, Mann-Whitney test, p-values, correlation, and single variable regression analysis). The SPSS graduate educational license costs $34.95.
