ECCE 410 - VLSI Design3 Cr. Hrs. This course covers the introduction to the design and fabrication of microelectronic circuits, analysis and the design of monolithic analog and digital integrated circuits using NMOS, CMOS and bipolar technologies, device modeling, transistor-Level CMOS Physical Design, Gate Function and Timing Characteristics, and High-Level Digital Functional Blocks. The design methodologies for LSI and VLSI scale circuits, test and evaluation of integrated circuits are discussed. Students will be introduced to CAD tools and computer-aided design for the design and verification of circuits.
Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in ECCE 240 Grading Basis: Graded Repeatable: No Typical Periods Offered: Fall
