Bachelor of Arts in Music

The Bachelor of Arts in Music is a perfect fit for musicians with ambitious goals and diverse interests.

Core Classes

The BA in Music deepens your understanding and hones your skill with a strong core of music theory, history, and individual and ensemble performance. Additionally, you’ll be introduced to contemporary music recording and composition technology and ensemble leadership.

Choosing a Minor…or a Second Major

It is highly recommended to choose a minor or second major which will enable you to specialize your studies to fit your calling. Tailoring your music degree allows you to fit your interests, prepare for a career that combines music with other disciplines, or be equipped for graduate study in fields from music ministry to music therapy.

Note: The required capstone course in the Music curriculum will require students to have a core secondary area of interest built through general elective coursework. A minor or secondary major accomplishes this and will have the benefit of being notated on your transcript as a secondary area of expertise.
