Mission Statement
The mission of the School of Nursing is to be Christ-centered, people-focused, student-oriented, quality-driven, and future-directed in preparing qualified persons to serve a diverse population through the holistic profession of nursing.
Components for Learning
The Post-Traditional Accelerated Nursing program trains you to become a registered nurse who can work in pediatric, surgical, adult, geriatric, and other fields of nursing. It prepares you to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and become a registered nurse (RN). The School of Nursing focuses on developing Christ-centered, qualified people to serve a diverse population through the holistic nursing profession. This track will launch your nursing career, open the door to leadership and management positions, and qualify you for graduate-level training in nursing and healthcare. This 15-month track is designed for the individual who has 59 hours of previous college credit or a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing.
Upon graduating from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, you will be able to search for a job at any healthcare institution that requires a Registered Nurse. You’ll also be able to apply for graduate programs in nursing at the master’s and doctoral levels.
Special Requirements for Admission
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 in the last 59 hours and a Science GPA of 3.0,
- Completion of a TEAS exam (ATI) and a score of 60. The TEAS may be taken a maximum of two (2) times to achieve this score.
In order to be admitted, applicants must have previously attended an accredited college or university and obtained a minimum of 59 credit hours required for the required courses.
Specified Graduation Requirements: 2.8 GPA in Major Requirements and a C or higher in Cognate and Major Courses.
