Educational Systems Administration, Ed.S.


The Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Systems Administration is designed for students who wish to pursue state superintendency certification. Candidates pursuing this degree pathway have the option to complete a stand-alone Ed.S. with accompanying superintendent certification or to continue on to complete their Ed.D. in Leadership and Learning, Educational System Leadership concentration. This program will equip individuals with the highest level of scholarship and practical experience relevant to service in school superintendency.

The Ed.S. in Educational System Administration requires completion of 33 credit hours (18 core, 9 concentration hours, and 3 research hours). Candidates may obtain a S.C. state superintendency certification by completing all degree program requirements and by receiving a passing score of the PRAXIS exam.
