Health Care Management - Post-Traditional, B.S.


Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management 

The Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management program educates students through a Christian perspective about the human condition. The field of Health Care Management focuses on leadership and day to day operations in health care and human services organizations, and maintaining a commitment to improving the overall quality of life of those we serve. The Health Care Management profession is one which promotes improved service delivery systems by addressing not only the quality of direct services, but also by seeking to improve accessibility, accountability, and coordination among professionals and agencies in service delivery. The field of Health Care Management is a broadly defined one, uniquely approaching the objective of meeting health and human services needs through an interdisciplinary knowledge base. 

Why Health Care  Management?

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the growth in healthcare employment is expected to continue its steady growth to reach almost 26 percent by 2022.  This program is designed for individuals who want to contribute to a healthier community and help make a difference in people’s lives. The courses are designed to prepare students for careers that are focused toward medical and health care managers, focusing on responsibilities such as partnering with physicians and nurses to ensure high quality care for patients, ensure their health care organization is financially and operationally sound, manage personnel issues, and teach community members about health issues.  

Courses are structured in a convenient 7-week flexible path format for working adults that gives the learner the opportunity to complete at an accelerated rate. Skilled and experienced professors with real world expertise instruct the courses and work with the learner to expand their knowledge and improve skills. Learners are required to possess a high school diploma before enrolling in the Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management program. Students can enroll with or without an associate’s degree.
