Bachelor of Science in Business Mission Statement
The Bachelor of Science degree in Business prepares graduates, in a traditional environment, with the basic tools necessary to achieve success in an ever-changing business environment. This is enhanced by a curriculum with challenging core courses in basic business knowledge and applications, enhanced by concentration specific courses. The degree is designed to allow graduates to satisfy goals for entry-level positions leading to a professional career in business, industry, government, charitable and other not-for-profit organizations.

Exit exam. All business students must take a nationally normed, summative end of program exam that is used for outcomes assessment purposes. The exam that is currently being used is provided by Peregrine Academic Services. This is a comprehensive exam covering all of the major business disciplines and it is a graduation requirement. The exam is taken as part of the Senior Seminar (BUS 490) course.
Minimum Grades in Courses. No grade below “C” in a course required for the major or minor (including cognates and specified electives) will count toward satisfying that course requirement. This policy does not refer to general education requirements or elective courses.
