AI 208 - AI and Digital Communication / Digital Storytelling3 Cr. Hrs. Building on foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence, this course examines how AI tools are shaping digital communication and storytelling across journalism, marketing, documentary media, education, and organizational contexts. Through applied projects and critical reflection, students learn to use AI-assisted tools for writing, visual media, audio, video, and audience engagement while maintaining a clear human voice and communicative purpose.
Emphasizes artificial intelligence as a collaborative tool rather than a replacement for human creativity or judgment. Students explore issues of authenticity, trust, authorship, bias, misinformation, and transparency in AI-mediated media, integrating communication theory and Christian ethical reflection to engage responsibly in digital spaces.
This course may serve as an elective in the Applied Artificial Intelligence major or minor, or as a general elective for students who have completed AI 101.
