Reviews topics from algebra and trigonometry which are essential for understanding and succeeding in MAT 140 - Analytic Geometry & Calculus 1 .
Algebraic topics include sets; real numbers; order of operations; inequalities; polynomial factoring; functions; graphs; exponents; logarithms; first and second degree equations; and systems of equations.
Trigonometric topics include trigonometric functions; degree and radian measure; identities; equations; inverse functions; solutions of right and oblique triangles; and graphs of trigonometric functions.
Prerequisite(s): Score of 500+ on Math SAT; 17+ on Math ACT; MAT 105 ; or placement via math department placement test.
A student cannot receive academic credit for both MAT 107 and MAT 130. Grading Basis: Letter Grade Repeatable: No Typical Periods Offered: Fall, Summer A student with a “C” or better in a math course numbered 140 or higher may not subsequently receive credit for a math course numbered less than 140, unless, due to the student’s major or change of major, the course is a math requirement.
