Focus on conversation and reading; emphases on varied, complex sentences. A continued appreciation of French speaking culture underlies the orientation of the course.

Prerequisite(s): Student has completed FRE 211

Student is not a native speaker of French.
Students with prior study in educational institutions in which French is the primary language are not allowed to receive credit for the elementary level of the native language. They should complete the 111-112 sequence of another language.
