CYB 660 - Cybersecurity Law

3 Cr. Hrs.


An in-depth study of current cybersecurity law.  All levels of the law are underscored to include relevant state, national and international laws.  Impacts of the law on industry regulations, standards and practices are covered.  Cases studies are provided.  The course covers the law of war, law of crime, ethics, contracts, and organizational liability.  It also explains how investigators should formulate defendable reports in computer crime, digital forensics, incident response, or other cyber-related inquiries.

Typical Periods Offered:  Every 18-24 months or as needed. 

 

Prerequisite(s): CYB 620, Cybersecurity Leadership and Strategy.
Grading Basis: Graded Repeatable: No Typical Periods Offered: Summer
