CYB 640 - Defensive Cyber Operations

3 Cr. Hrs.
The course provides an operations center and analytics approach to enterprise cybersecurity.  Students are given a hands-on approach deploying, tuning, and utilizing blue team tools and operational tactics, techniques, and procedures.  Students practice skills in virtualized environments.  Students will validate technical skills and test their ability to apply critical thinking to solving defensive technical cybersecurity problems against real-time and active threats.

Prerequisite(s): CYB 610, Data Security & Privacy in Cloud Environments.   Also could be a co-requisite. Corequisite(s): CYB 610, Data Security & Privacy in Cloud Environments.   Also could be a prerequisite.
Grading Basis: Graded Repeatable: No Typical Periods Offered: Fall
