Development of personal design and construction of the clay object, whether functional and/or sculptural, with an emphasis on perfecting the skillsets already developed. Additionally, research on historical and contemporary artists will culminate into presentations, group discussions and writings. Students will establish personal artistic statements manifested through a conceptually unified body of work. Students also learn introductory glaze chemistry and assist in loading and firing kilns.
