ART 262 - Ceramics 13 Cr. Hrs. Introduction to traditional and contemporary practices of hand-building techniques and the potter’s wheel. Clay hand-building techniques such as pinch-forming, coil construction and slab construction are employed to create utilitarian vessels and sculptural objects. Basic wheel-throwing techniques will also be explored to create utilitarian vessels.
Prerequisite(s): ART 105 Grading Basis: Letter Grade Repeatable: No Typical Periods Offered: Fall, Spring
