Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a concentration in Medical Imaging is designed for students who have completed an associate’s degree or certificate program in medical imaging and hold appropriate professional credentials. The field of health science covers a wide range of topics in health sciences, public health, health care, and research.
This program is specifically designed for credentialed medical imaging professionals who have completed their clinical training through JRCERT-accredited technical programs, hospital-based medical imaging programs, or other accredited institutions offering degrees in the medical imaging sciences. Students transfer their clinical credits to complete their bachelor’s degree while building advanced knowledge in health sciences, leadership, and research.

*AU will accept transfer credit hours from an Associate of Applied Sciences or Certification in radiologic technology program towards the university’s Bachelor of Science in Health Science: Medical Imaging program under the following conditions:
- The transfer credit hours are from an academic program holding professional accreditation through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) or equivalent accrediting agency that is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- The student has earned the Associate of Applied Sciences in Radiologic Technology or equivalent degree.
- The student has passed the national registry exam offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or has been awarded the RDMS credential by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent credential, approved by the Program Chair and Dean of the College of Health Professions.
- The transfer credit hours may only be applied to the Bachelor of Science in Health Science: Medical Imaging program.
