Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Engineering

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Engineering degree educates students in general engineering and the traditional and applied mathematical disciplines (e.g. Engineering courses, calculus, discrete methods, probability and statistical theory and methods, linear and abstract algebra, advanced calculus, etc.) so that students will be prepared to:

  • Transfer to Clemson to complete an Engineering degree in their selected engineering area of interest and 
  • Obtain a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Engineering degree from Anderson University at the end of their fourth year since initial enrollment at AU.

Gold Core Curriculum (Traditional)  Specified Course Requirements: Quantitative Literacy: MAT 140  Scientific Inquiry: PHY 201/203 

Major Electives (12 Cr. Hrs.)


  • MAT 3XX - Take any two additional MAT 300-level courses - 6 Cr. Hrs. 
  • Major Elective - Take any additional ENGR, ENME, ENCE, ENEE, PHY, CHE, BIO or MAT 3XX course - 3 Cr. Hrs.
  • Discipline Elective - Take CHE 112+114, ENGR 220, ENGR 130, or ENGR 210 - 3-5 Cr. Hrs.
