Electrical Engineering, B.S.

Electrical engineering may be defined as the design, manufacture, application, analysis, installation, operation and maintenance of electrical products and systems and as engineering practice that brings to bear the fundamental concepts and practices of light, electricity and magnetism to bear on electrical technology solutions. Electrical Engineers apply the principals of electricity, magnetism, and circuitry to the development of electronics and electrical power technologies which are foundational to modern society. Electrical engineers are at the heart of problem-solving teams seeking to advance all-electric aircraft and automobiles, instrumentation and avionics, electrical energy power grids for a city or country, and the latest in electronic consumer products from office technology to family entertainment. With an emphasis on “agile systems” this program of study builds upon a strong foundation of math, computer science, and the physical sciences. Their work is impactful and collaborative. As you progress through this program, you will learn about the business implications of your ethically conducted work and how to effectively communicate ideas and innovations to a wide range of audiences.
