MUS 217 - Studio Recording I3 Cr. Hrs. This course focuses on current recording techniques, processes, and computer applications to produce recordings within a studio environment. Topics include professional recording studio protocols, application of principles related to microphone use and placement, use of audio interfaces, techniques for creating a home studio, use of audio plug-ins, understanding of physical properties of sound, study of analog to digital conversion, and combining these techniques with processes of artistically creating music.
