This course focuses on the various theoretical, etiological, sociological and behavioral approaches to the understanding of children with emotional/behavior disorders. Emphasis is on promoting behavior change and facilitating affective development of children with emotional or behavior disorders. Prerequisite: Completion of Benchmark I. The teacher candidate who completes nine (9) hours in special education courses qualifies for add-on certification in Special Education: Learning Disabilities, K-12.
