LEAD 624 - Theory & Practice of Organizational Development & Change

3 Cr. Hrs.
This course studies organizational decision making, organizational change including resistance to change, and organizational culture as it relates to decision making and change for both individuals and teams. Students will examine change in the workplace from multiple perspectives. Discussions will consider various foundational issues in organizational change management including strategy, diagnosis, motivation, resistance, communication, interventions and sustainability. Throughout this course, students will engage in various activities intended to illustrate or practice the skills involved in planning and implementing organizational change. Change interventions and evaluation strategies will be provided.
